Help for Heroes are one of the main drivers for the project. I’m glad to say that my brother did not need to use the charity during or after his time in Afghanistan, however, there are so many servicemen that have benefitted from the amazing work these guys do. On top of their amazing work for the wounded heroes of the Armed Forces, the support I’ve had from the Head Office crew has been outstanding – a special thank you to Annabel, Stephanie, Stewart & Charlie for their help, guidance & cheering over the last year.
Just before Christmas last year, I received a phenomenal present from Kate, the MD of the company I work at, as she landed a cheque for £2,100 on my desk! ABa have not only put up with my broken leg and other aches & pains, but have been fantastically supportive from day one of the challenge project as well. By sponsoring me £100 per challenge they have meant my other challenge to raise £10,000 is becoming much more of a reality.
John Shinnick & the wonderful people at Grant Thornton Manchester have kindly agreed to support me on a monthly basis by helping to sponsor the new running/climbing kit, entry fees, travel expenses and general expenses incurred. This generous and much needed support means that every single penny raised from donations & challenge sponsorship all goes directly to Help for Heroes. On top of this, John has offered unquestionable support from the outset of the project, and for this I am extremely grateful.
