…not just anybody. The Beatles got it right when they sang about needing Help – and that is what I am after.
I have to say though, even after a short space of time, I’m astounded by the immediate support given to the [21:21] challenge. Last night I sent a couple of messages to a few people on Facebook, telling them about the FB page. And in a matter of hours, we went from 70 fans, to over 120. That in itself is quite the achievement. But added to that, we surpassed our largest number of hits in any one day for the [21:21] website – 75 hits today has brought the overall total to well over 1,800 hits.
While today has been a definite shift in the right direction, we still have a long way to go. I originally set up [21:21] to raise £10,000 for Help for Heroes. And while this is VERY MUCH the principal goal of the project, I also want raise awareness of Help for Heroes. Rather than just creating a huge shout out to the charity, through raising a stellar amount of money, I want to get people following the challenges. And in doing so, they’ll be following Help for Heroes.
And just imagine if there were 10,000 new people following Help for Heroes.
Rather than it being just a truly amazing, all encompassing challenge, imagine if it was also a jump start for a huge following of people, getting behind an amazing organisation, who do such phenomenal work for our injured guys & girls, who put their lives on the line every day.
Rather than it being a challenge of a lifetime, imagine if we could start a movement.
